Fixings & Fasteners

Fixings & Fasteners

Jointing Tech supplies fixings and fasteners for cable installations, electrical projects, site works and general construction applications. Our range includes bolts and set screws, nuts, washers, threaded rod and accessories, wall and floor anchors, wall plugs, woodscrews, nails, staples, cable clips and galvanised channel systems.

The correct fixing helps ensure that cable-support systems, electrical accessories, containment, equipment and site installations are securely mounted. Whether you are fixing into masonry, steel, timber, plasterboard or another substrate, we can help you source suitable products for the job.

Choose fixings and fasteners according to the load, material being fixed, substrate type, environmental conditions and installation method. A fixing suitable for a lightweight internal cable clip may not be suitable for supporting larger cable containment, equipment or external infrastructure.

Before ordering, check the required thread size, length, head type, finish, corrosion resistance and compatible installation tool. For wall and floor anchors, establish the base material, embedment depth, load requirements and whether the installation is indoors, outdoors or exposed to moisture or chemicals.

Use appropriate cable clips and similar fasteners for the cable diameter and direction of travel. If the installation of power cable requires engineered restraint during fault conditions, provide the necessary cable cleats and supporting structure, not just general power cable clips or ties.

Fixing systems are often used alongside cable cleats, ducting, cable tray, electrical enclosures and cable-management products. If you are unsure which product is compatible with your substrate or support system, provide the installation details, dimensions and expected load to the Jointing Tech team.

FAQs

How do I choose the right fixing?

Check the material you are fixing into, the load, the fixing size, environmental conditions and the required finish before selecting a product.

What are threaded rods used for?

Threaded rod is commonly used with nuts, washers, brackets and channel systems to support services, containment and equipment.

Can general cable clips be used for all power cables?

No. Larger or high-current cable installations may require engineered cable cleats and support systems designed for the cable arrangement and fault-duty conditions.

Which finish is best for outdoor fixings?

This depends on the environment. Consider corrosion resistance, material compatibility and the expected exposure before choosing the finish.
