Sussex County Cricket Club | 23rd March, 2016

Sussex Cricket is delighted to announce the return of its annual Disability Day on Monday 16th May at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove.

The Sussex Cricket Foundation Disability Day is one of the largest mass participation events in the South East for people with disabilities and reinforces our commitment to making cricket accessible to communities and individuals across Sussex.

The event aims to promote disability participation in cricket through a variety of fun and innovative activities where we focus on ability, not disability. The event is open to schools, day centres, community groups and individuals.

Attendees will be able to get involved in a wide variety of activities including Coaching Zones run by our qualified coaches, The Lord Taverners Table Cricket Single Wicket competition and the Sussex Cricket Inflatable “Fun Factory”

New Activities for 2016 include - the Multi Sport Paralympic Village, Sussex VI Sharks Skill Centre and Sid the Shark’s Biggest Hit Challenge!

Tim Shutt, MD of Sussex Cricket Foundation, said: “The vision of the Foundation includes ensuring opportunities to participate in cricket are genuinely open to all and there will be no better example of this than on May 16th.

“Over the last 6 years, the event has always been well attended and has been an extremely fun, enjoyable day for all involved.
